Club RAUM is a space that particularly fosters the LGBTQIA+community. All are welcome at our club, but before entering, we kindly ask you to be particularly mindful of the space you are about to step into and to embrace the values of respect and consent that we hold dear. And ultimately, to consciously consider whether this space is meant for you. We kindly ask you to read our code of conduct, which applies to all who are present at RAUM’s premises. You can find it in CODE OF CONDUCT.


The following house rules are designed to ensure the safety, well-being, and enjoyment of all guests and staff at RAUM, in compliance with Dutch law. By entering Club RAUM, you agree to abide by these rules. Failure to comply may result in warnings, removal, or potential legal consequences.


1. Age Restrictions

• The minimum age for entry to Club RAUM is 21 years. Valid identification (passport, driver’s license, or ID card) must be presented upon request.

• The club reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone unable to provide valid identification


2. Illegal Substances and Weapons

• Possession, use, or distribution of illegal substances is strictly prohibited at Club RAUM premises. Violation of this rule will result in immediate removal and possible legal action.

• Carrying or using weapons of any kind within the club is strictly forbidden. This includes firearms, knives, or any other potentially harmful objects.

• It is not allowed to bring any form of liquids into the club


3. Intoxication

• We promote responsible drinking. Excessive intoxication will not be tolerated.

• Intoxicated guests or guests who are visibly under influence, may be denied entry or asked to leave the premises.

• Guests who appear to be overly intoxicated, will not be served alcohol and/or asked to leave.


4. Sexual Harassment and Assault

• Any form of sexual harassment, assault or unwanted advances will not be tolerated. Anyone who violates this policy will be removed from the premises and may receive a ban ranging from several months to a lifetime. This includes (but not limited to) harassment, assault, racism, misogyny, transphobia, ableism, homophobia, fatphobia, bullying, religious bigotry or hatred and discrimination of any kind, will be removed from the premises. If you do experience or witness this, please report it immediately to our staff or awareness team. Where necessary, the police may also be involved.

• Consent is required for all intimate interactions, and guests must respect each other’s boundaries


5. Smoking Policy

• Smoking is only allowed in designated smoking areas outside the club.

• Smoking inside the club premises, including the use of e-cigarettes, is strictly prohibited.


6. Dress Code

• RAUM welcomes experimentation, creativity and self-expression through clothing, while asking everyone to be mindful of the meaning and significance that clothing, imagery and symbols can carry. We expect generosity towards the experiences of others, and clothing that promotes hate, discrimination or oppressive ideologies has no place at RAUM.

• For safety reasons, we require all guests to wear appropriate footwear. This includes avoiding open shoes or thin-soled footwear, as entry may be denied if these requirements are not met

.• Formal suits/uniforms, business attire, shirts or sport-club merchandise are not part of our dress code and may be a reason for refusal of entry.

• We encourage experimentation and self-expression through dressing and (un)dressing. At the same time, we ask you to be mindful of how certain clothing, symbols or imagery may be experienced by others, and to dress with awareness and consideration for those around you.

• Our staff reserves the right to refuse entry to individuals not complying with the dress code.


7. Photography and Recording

• Strictly no photography or videography is allowed inside the club. Violation of this policy may result in immediate removal and possible ban. We cover the cameras on your phones with a sticker at the entrance.

Wearable recording devices, such as Meta Glasses are strictly forbidden inside our club. Anyone found with these on the premises will be removed immediately and receive a lifetime ban. 


8. Group Size Limitation

• To ensure a comfortable and inclusive environment, group sizes are limited to a maximum of three individuals in the queue.


9. Respect for Staff and Property

Treat our staff with respect and courtesy. Any form of verbal or physical abuse towards staff members will not be tolerated.

• Guests will be held responsible for any intentional damage to club property. This includes, but is not limited to, damaging the interior or facilities, graffiti, placing stickers on surfaces, or otherwise defacing the space. Vandalism may be reported to the authorities.


10. Noise and Behavior:

• Please be mindful of noise levels, both inside and outside the club, to ensure a harmonious environment for all. Disorderly behavior, including fighting or engaging in aggressive actions, will lead to immediate removal from the club.


11. Liability

• Club RAUM is not responsible for lost items in both the club or lockers. For lost property inquiries: lost@clubraum.nl 

• Our club lighting plan may pose a risk to individuals with epilepsy or a history of stroke. Club RAUM absolves itself of any responsibility for potential harm or consequences resulting from this.


12. Compliance with Dutch Law

• All guests must adhere to Dutch law while on club premises

• Club RAUM may cooperate fully with law enforcement authorities if necessary. The club is committed to providing an enjoyable and safer experience for everyone.
