A happening where performers use their bodies as a rebellion against the binary. HOLOBIONT opens a temporary free zone, a space where bodies are in constant transition. The moment you step inside, you become part of the space. You wander, linger, disappear, and reappear. Chairs? Forget them. Let yourself be guided by what unfolds or plop down in a corner with a drink. You choose how deep you go, how long you stay.
HOLOBIONT is an underground playground: a collective ritual with dark corners, clitty wigs, and glitter that will mysteriously reappear in unexpected places. Here the binary collapses, and from the chaos something new is born: a community where bodies, genders, and selves are free. An invitation to meet the unknown in yourself and others. And dance together.
OYA - XR installation by Tobias Staab
OYA is part of the extended programme of HOLOBIONT. Through an XR headset, you enter the world of Brazilian trans artist Black Pearl De Almeida Lima, encountering her as a holographic presence. The work draws on footage captured across different moments of her journey between 2020 and 2025. In this mixed-reality installation by Tobias Staab (DE) in collaboration with the Govar Studio, you move between death and rebirth, unfolding as a simultaneous experience of loss, transformation, and emergence. OYA draws on Black Pearl’s lived experience of transition, not as an explanatory framework, but as embodied knowledge: a practice of crossing thresholds and insisting on presence against rigid norms.
